My name is Hannah Raftery. Last year for my 12th birthday I did something different with the gifts I would receive from my party. I've always enjoyed helping others. I decided for my 12th birthday party, instead of getting gifts for myself, I would donate them all to Harvest Home, a local women and children's shelter. I was so excited to receive about 40 gifts to donate, I thought I could help even more kids if I started a charity and collected gifts throughout the year. So, Hannah's Birthday Closet was born!

There are many different ways you can help! It's easy!!

1) Select one or more gifts you receive for your birthday and donate them.
2) Make a monetary donation and we will select a gift for you.
3) Have a friend or family member select a gift to be donated.

370 Birthday Gifts!!!!

Thank you everyone from Edge Games and my birthday party.  I collected 370 gifts to be given to homeless kids so they will enjoy new presents on their birthday!!!  I can't wait to deliver all the gifts.

EDGE GAMES 2013 Update!

A big thank you to everyone who donated gifts at Edge Games!  230 gifts were donated!!  Aruba was the big winner with 143 gifts donated!! (143,000 points!)  A special thank you to the person on Aruba who donated a big container full of gifts! 

IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO DONATE!  You can bring in your NEW gift, $10 and under to the last night of Edge Games- this Friday, February 15th.  For each gift brought in, your country will receive 1,000 points.  Imagine how many homeless children we can help with a little bit of generosity from each person who attends Edge Games?!

Edge Games 2013 at Christ Community Chapel


 
I am so excited that Edge Games 2013 is going to help Hannah's Birthday Closet!!  The picture above is all the kids that were at Edge Games last night, (Friday, February 1st) about 500 kids!!!!  There are challenges given every year and this year one of the challenges is to bring in a gift $10 or less to donate to Hannah's Birthday Closet and then I will donate them to Haven of Rest in Akron and if we get a ton of gifts, more homeless shelters.  So, homeless kids will have presents on their birthday.  Each gift that is brought in, their country will receive 1000 POINTS!!!!  Please bring in any gift (any age and any gender) to Edge games next Friday, February 8th!!  The more gifts you bring, the more points your country will receive!   GO ARUBA!!!!!
